You just found out that you and the guy you are crushing on were born only two days apart. What a coincidence! And you both like to travel. And you both had hamsters when you were growing up. I can already hear you saying it, "We're meant to be, right!?!"
Not necessarily.
I don't know why it exists, but there is this strange urge to connect yourself with your crush. You will grasp at straws. You'll use just about anything to get your heart racing. I sure have. When I found out that the guy I liked was going to the same college as me, you should have seen me rejoicing. I may not have run around or called up all of my friends, but the damage was done on the inside. The lengths we go to for sweaty palms and a racing heart is quite ridiculous. We're obsessed with those feelings. We only want more. But all I did was turn a quirky coincidence (if you could even call it that) into an ideal situation. I gave the credit to fate and destiny, when it was just a random fact.
Here's the deal. You want to link yourself to him idealistically. Especially if he's a guy you know you're not supposed to like. It's weird, though. What if a stranger was doing that with you? Trust me. You'd be too freaked out to be flattered.
Love,
Zabrinah
